With just under two weeks until the start of the first annual Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival, the property and construction sector is forming an important part of the programme.
The Business Festival is two weeks of free business events, running for the first time across Coventry & Warwickshire between Monday 20 November and Friday 1 December.
It consists of eight sectors, each one carefully selected to showcase the region's broad but strong economy. Leading each sector is an industry-specific professional who is well-known within their sectoral field.
Peter Deeley, Managing Director, Deeley Group is the Business Festival Sector Lead for construction. He said, “The construction & development sector binds us all together. Our industry provides growth for business operations and delivers on the region’s much needed housing requirement.
“This Festival comes at an excellent time and the height of construction activity in the region.”
Amongst the packed Business Festival programme comprising over 100 events in total, the Construction Sector features three particularly strong events aimed at property and construction professionals from across the UK.
Award-winning construction and development firm, the Deeley Group is hosting a topical and important breakfast event on 24 November for local authorities, agents, developers, architects, investors and businesses from inside and outside of the region. Entitled ‘Delivering on our requirement for employment land to grow our economy’, it will look at how organisations can work together to address the growing need for more employment land to ensure future employment growth.
On 28 November, Warwickshire Property Forum is running a conference entitled ‘Innovation in Property’, showcasing innovations in and for the property sector, featuring a wide range of presentations, panel discussions, expert opinions, interior and exterior demonstrations.
Coventry University is inviting contractors, architects, project managers and quantity surveyors to hear about the exciting development plans for Coventry University over the next few years, both in Coventry and across the UK. This event takes place on 1December and is being hosted by the Deeley Group.
There are over 311,000 construction businesses in the UK, employing some 2.5 million people. Construction output across the West Midlands accounts for around eight per cent of the UK total. Coventry & Warwickshire boasts some high-profile property and construction businesses including the Deeley Group and Morgan Sindall.
