Businesses wishing to run an event in the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival have just five days to submit their events, as the application portal closes at midnight on Friday 28 September.
The Business Festival, developed by the the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub, and headline sponsored by Inspire Insurance, is taking place from 19 November to 30 November. It is the largest business event in the region and yet again, is set to be a packed two weeks of over 100 business events.
Craig Humphrey, managing director of the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub, said: “The progamme is already three quarters full and we are expecting this last week to be very busy indeed. I also would like to reiterate that event applications are being taken on a first come, first served basis.”
It is totally free to run an event as part of the Festival and there could be substantial benefits including raising awareness, making new contacts and developing supply chains.
Events can be about anything can take any shape - from a workshop or seminar to large scale exhibition, conference or even an on-line webinar. Those in the key Business Festival sectors (Automotive and Advanced Manufacturing; Business and Communications; Construction and Property; Creative and Digital; Education; Games Development and Serious Gaming; Health and Wellbeing; Logistics; Professional and Financial Services; Tourism and Culture) are particularly welcome.
Craig added, “Naturally, events must be held in Coventry or Warwickshire and we have lots of venue partners listed on the website that are offering their space for free or at a heavily discounted price to Business Festival event organisers.
“Running an event could lead to many benefits such as enhancing networks, connecting with like-minded industry experts and increasing business exposure significantly in the region and beyond. The Festival provides the perfect showcase of the vast range of knowledge, commerce, culture and innovation in Coventry and Warwickshire.”
The process to apply to run an event is very simple through a short application form on the website www.cwbusinessfestival.com/apply. Once approved as part of the programme, events are advertised on the Business Festival website.
Current examples include access to finance; tackling skills shortages in the region; asset protection; tax relief in research and development; copywriting; using Linked In; forming a business strategy; improving the delivery of non-residential development in Coventry and much more.
